On opening weekend, Avengers: Infinity War brought in an astounding $640.9 million. This is boast worthy news for Jan Philip Cramer who served as the animation supervisor for the film. The Academy of Art University is also proud of this major accomplishment, but why? For the simple reason that Jan Cramer attended the university, where he earned a BFA in 2004 from the School of Animation and Visual Effects. However, Avengers: Infinity War isn’t the first big movie that Jan Cramer has worked on, he has also worked on other big hit movies like Avatar, Spider-Man: Homecoming, Deadpool, and several others.
It was Cramer’s childhood dream to create movies and he credits much of his success to the fact that he attended Academy of Art University. While he was a student he was offered not only quality training, but also guidance, advice, and insight into the visual effects and animation industries. Additionally, Cramer believes that he is more successful in his specific industry because, while attending Academy of Art, he was required to study many different types of art.
Richard Stephens founded the Academy of Art University in 1929. Since its opening the university has taken up residence in the amazing city of San Francisco. For nearly 90 years, the school has prided itself on preparing professionals in design, communication, and the arts.
Academy of Art University believes in an inclusive admission policy. This means that individuals need only to meet a very simple and basic set of requirements in order to be admitted. No matter if you are right out of high school, homeschooled, a transfer student, an international student, or military service member the application process is concise and simple.
In addition to a simple admission process, Academy of Art University offers many financing options for students to choose from. The university accepts financial aid in the form of the PELL grant, student loans, federal work study, and the CAL grant. The university has also been approved to accept the GI Bill and Military Tuition Assistance. No matter a student’s financial need, the financial aid office will walk you through the entire process.
